Passing Rate is defined as the percentage of people who passed the examination. The examination is not scored on a curve comparing you to other individuals taking the examination.

Retention Rate: CMCAs are required to submit an annual fee to maintain the credential. Biannually, you are required to submit documentation of the requisite continuing education. If one of these pieces is not met (payment or continuing education), certification becomes inactive. The retention rate indicates the percentage of CMCAs who pay the requisite fees and submit the requisite continuing education documentation.
